In this role, the Manager of Environmental Services is responsible for planning staffing and work schedules, hiring, training, and supervising environmental services staff, and maintaining a safety program aimed at reducing workplace injuries. The manager also handles contract administration, oversees high-volume industrial laundry systems ensuring the separation of facility linens from personal resident clothing, and manages maintenance programs such as annual unit and carpet cleaning. This position requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff, administration, and other departments, as well as managing outside service providers like pest control and window cleaning.
Working in this position at Casa de las Campanas offers an exceptional work environment noted for its engaging and fun atmosphere. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance with zero employee cost share for medical coverage, a $5,000 education scholarship, tuition reimbursement, employee appreciation bonuses funded by residents, options such as DailyPay, life and pet insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off and holidays, AFLAC, long-term disability insurance, and monthly employee engagement activities.
This is a salaried full-time position with a competitive annual salary range of $70,304 to $72,000. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two to three years of supervisory experience in environmental services, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably bilingual skills in Spanish. Candidates must also hold a valid California driver's license and demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills along with a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
