Job Description

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, and privately funded organizing committee responsible for orchestrating the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This prestigious organization is dedicated to delivering an extraordinary experience that celebrates the diversity, culture, and spirit of Los Angeles and the United States. Marking the return of the Summer Olympic Games to the U.S. after 32 years, and hosting the Summer Games for an unprecedented third time, LA28 also proudly welcomes Paralympic athletes for the first time in history. This unique opportunity signifies a historical moment to honor the city's legacy while innovatively advancing the Olympic and Paralympic movements to new heights.

Our mission is to create an event unlike any before, a dynamic global celebration that inspires and unites athletes, fans, partners, and community members alike. Success in this endeavor relies heavily on assembling a top-tier team characterized by diverse perspectives, a shared commitment to excellence, integrity, and inclusion, and the boldness to innovate and co-create. As such, we seek individuals who align closely with these core values and are passionate about contributing to the legacy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Manager of Live Sites & Venue Experiences plays a critical role within the Live Sites (LIV) functional area, which is charged with the planning and execution of all fan and spectator engagement initiatives both at Games venues and off-site locations throughout the event. This role is pivotal in amplifying the vibrant Olympic and Paralympic spirit, creating unparalleled fan experiences that complement the excitement of the athletic competitions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with at least five years of experience in sponsorship operations, event marketing logistics, brand activation production, or related disciplines. Proven expertise in operational planning and project management is crucial. This individual's leadership and detailed organizational skills will be paramount in managing complex workflows, coordinating across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution of activation events. Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a valuable asset though not mandatory.

In this role, the Manager will oversee the day-to-day operational planning for spectator activations, develop venue-specific playbooks to guide clear, practical procedures, and manage logistical needs including furniture, fixtures, equipment planning, and sourcing materials. Acting as a bridge between external partners like International Sports Federations and National Sports Governing Bodies and internal venue operations, this manager ensures that all stakeholders are aligned and that activations are smoothly integrated into the overall Games experience. Operating primarily from the downtown Los Angeles office, the role also requires presence on-site during Games time to directly manage activities within designated zones.

The position offers an annual base salary range between $88,000 and $115,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. LA28 maintains a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in its hiring practices and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
