The Groups Manager – Level I is a vital role within The Venetian Resort’s Hotel Operations team, primarily responsible for managing all aspects related to group housing and ensuring seamless hotel services for clients. This role focuses on the execution of housing contractual obligations such as room blocks, rates, concessions, attrition, and fund collections while fostering strong collaborative relationships with group and convention planners. The Groups Manager acts as the liaison between clients and various internal departments, including Sales, Revenue, Catering, and Hotel Operations, to ensure client needs are met and the overall attendee experience is exemplary.

Key responsibilities involve organizing and managing rooming arrangements within several platforms like LMS, EBMS, Passkey, and CRM, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the event lifecycle. The Groups Manager also handles all logistics regarding group arrivals and departures, maintaining effective communication with Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Concierge, and VIP teams to manage client expectations and deliver exceptional service. Additionally, this role requires managing client financials, collecting deposits, estimating charges, invoicing, and monitoring balances to maintain accurate master accounts.

A crucial part of the role is driving client satisfaction and loyalty by responding promptly to client needs, resolving challenges efficiently, and maintaining thorough communication throughout the event. The Groups Manager is also responsible for building lasting client relationships which encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth. This position supports key properties of The Venetian Resort’s service excellence, ensuring team members participate in team-building initiatives and uphold company standards of conduct.

Job Requirements

  • 21 plus years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proof of authorization eligibility to work in the United States
  • Maintain a professional neat and well groomed appearance adhering to company appearance standards
  • Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo unmatched guest service standards
  • Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of LMS
  • Working knowledge of group convention industry
  • Two years prior experience in groups or hotel hospitality preferred

Job Duties

  • Execute all housing related contractual obligations including room block rates rooming concessions attrition and fund collection
  • Ensure the group convention meeting planners needs are attended to promptly in a warm and friendly manner for the duration of the event to assure the attendee experience exceeds expectations
  • Organize and arrange the foundation of the rooming and affiliated responsibilities within all of the keys systems for seamless execution of the program
  • Maintain a satisfactory individual MeetingScope score contributing to departmental goals
  • Communicate inter-departmentally between Sales Revenue Catering and Hotel Operations to manage contracted terms and concessions
  • Address internal and external challenges swiftly to mitigate client and attendee impact
  • Coordinate arrival and departure logistics and communicate client expectations to relevant hotel departments
