The role we are offering is for an experienced IT Delivery Manager responsible for leading a mid-size team of IT professionals across agile, infrastructure, or operations domains. This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of software, solutions, and services. The IT Delivery Manager is key to driving team effectiveness and performance, mentoring and developing talent, fostering professional growth, and implementing strategies aimed at elevating outcomes. The candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, IT leadership, and other stakeholders to maintain a steady pipeline of valuable, high-impact initiatives aligned with business goals.
This role requires a strong background in software development or technology, comprehensive understanding of software development life cycles and agile/lean leadership principles, and demonstrated ability to act as a change agent. The successful individual will possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills to develop team members’ capabilities and a proven track record of managing and improving team delivery and performance metrics. Responsibilities include managing backlogs for agile teams, prioritizing releases, removing impediments, encouraging innovative approaches, and fostering a self-organizing team culture committed to continuous improvement. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across various levels of the organization are integral to this role.
Compensation for this position ranges from $89,400 to $183,500 annually, commensurate with skills, experience, and geographic location. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant technical experience
- 5+ years experience in IT or relevant field
- Prior management experience preferred
- Strong software development background
- Understanding of Agile/Lean leadership
- Ability to coach and mentor
- Proficient in running effective meetings
- Good interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred or relevant technical experience
- 5+ years experience in an IT field or equivalent relevant work experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and technical disciplines

- Proficient in mentoring and coaching
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Oversees and evaluates overall delivery of the team and addresses issues when necessary
- Ensures the team has a well-defined backlog of valuable work
- Helps product owners and team members prioritize initiatives and sprint releases for Agile teams
- Removes obstacles and roadblocks impacting team performance
- Collaborates with business partners to translate strategy into backlog items
- Ensures application of best software engineering practices including test driven development and continuous integration
- Uses metrics and tools to monitor and improve team efficiency
- Mentors and coaches team members to higher performance levels
- Identifies and addresses skill gaps and promotes cross training opportunities
- Develops a self-organizing, collaborative, and autonomous team
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends
