Job Description
Drury Hotels is a renowned family-owned hospitality company with more than 150 hotels across 30 states, famously recognized for its welcoming culture and commitment to employee growth and satisfaction. The company is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and is dedicated to fostering an environment where both guests and employees truly belong. Drury Hotels has earned accolades such as being ranked among Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces 2025, reflecting its excellence in workplace culture and operational standards. With a strong emphasis on work-life balance, career advancement, and holistic well-being, Drury Hotels is more than a hospitality provider; it is a community that invests in its people and values their contributions.
Located at 9950 University Plaza Drive in Ft. Myers, Florida, Drury Hotels offers a vibrant and supportive work atmosphere. This setting provides employees with flexible scheduling options, generous paid time off, and hotel discounts that include free room nights, all aimed at enhancing quality of life outside the workplace. Health benefits cover medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs, life insurance, and disability coverage. Employees can also access a Team Member Assistance Program and benefit from a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan. Drury Hotels encourages personal and professional development through mentorship programs, cross-training opportunities, detailed development plans, and management training initiatives. The company’s commitment to recognizing excellence is reflected in competitive quarterly bonus incentives of up to $3,200 annually, distinct from base salary.
The Manager in Training (MIT) program at Drury Hotels is an intensive, 14-week experiential development opportunity designed specifically for recent college graduates eager to jumpstart their careers in hospitality management. This program is ideal for self-motivated, energetic individuals who are passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences and want to sharpen their leadership skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Participants in the MIT program gain comprehensive hands-on experience by rotating through various departments including housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, and administration. Each trainee reports directly to the General Manager and benefits from continuous guidance from a dedicated mentor, ensuring support and development throughout the program.
As the program progresses, trainees assume increasing management responsibilities, such as serving as Manager on Duty, which prepares them for future supervisory and leadership roles tailored to their strengths. This structured approach ensures practical exposure and cultivates a deep understanding of hotel operations, perfect for graduates with a background in hospitality, business, or related fields. To qualify for the MIT program, candidates must be at least 21 years old, willing to relocate after program completion, and possess nine months of prior work experience, preferably in hotel or restaurant settings. Leadership experience, whether gained through work or classroom involvement, is essential. Graduates can apply up to one year post-graduation, ensuring ample opportunity to secure a position.
At Drury Hotels, employees do more than work; they grow, thrive, and find a place where they truly belong. Join a company where your contributions matter, where your career can flourish, and where your workplace happiness is a priority. The company is hiring immediately and offers a unique launching platform for a promising career in hospitality management. If you desire to learn, train, and grow while working in an award-winning environment that values your well-being and professional success, Drury Hotels is the perfect place for you.
