Drury Hotels is a reputable hospitality company known for its family-owned culture and impressive footprint of over 150 hotels across 30 states in the United States. Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, Drury Hotels has earned recognition as one of Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces 2025. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive environment where team members are valued, well-compensated, and given ample opportunities for career advancement. Drury Hotels invests in the development and well-being of its staff, offering incentives, comprehensive health benefits, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan. The company emphasizes work-life balance and personal growth, making it a sought-after employer in the hospitality industry.
The Manager in Training (MIT) program at Drury Hotels is an intensive 14-week development opportunity designed for recent college graduates who aspire to build a career in hospitality management. This program provides participants with hands-on experience in a top-performing hotel, reporting directly to the General Manager while working closely with a dedicated mentor. Trainees rotate through all critical areas of hotel operations such as housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, and administration. This rotation is crafted to provide a comprehensive understanding of hotel management and operations.
Throughout the program, participants gradually transition into managerial responsibilities, including serving as Manager on Duty, allowing them to develop practical management skills. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees are well-prepared to move into supervisory or management roles that capitalize on their individual strengths and interests. The program is ideal for energetic, personable individuals passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Drury Hotels seeks candidates who are at least 21 years old at the start of the program, 100% relocatable after completion, and have at least nine months of prior work experience, preferably in hotel or restaurant settings. Leadership experience gained through work or academic settings is essential, along with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field. Graduates are eligible to begin the program up to one year after graduation.
Drury Hotels offers quarterly bonus opportunities of up to $3,200 annually, which are separate from the base salary. The hotel chain supports career growth through mentorship, cross-training, development plans, and management training. Employees also benefit from health and well-being programs encompassing medical, dental, vision, prescription, life, disability insurance, and access to a Team Member Assistance Program. Flexible scheduling, free room nights, and hotel discounts further contribute to a positive work-life balance, making Drury Hotels a distinguished employer in the hospitality sector. With over 200 internal promotions recorded in the last year, Drury Hotels clearly prioritizes internal talent development and long-term employee success.
