Job Description
Drury Hotels is a renowned hospitality company with a family-owned ethos, operating more than 150 hotels across 30 states in the United States. They are known for providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a workplace culture where employees find a sense of belonging. The company values its team members by offering competitive compensation, career growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. Drury Hotels has earned recognition as one of Newsweek's America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025, highlighting its commitment to employee well-being and excellence in hospitality management.
The property located at 500 East Highway 80, Pooler, Georgia, is actively seeking candidates for its Manager in Training (MIT) Program. This role is geared towards recent college graduates who are interested in launching a robust career in hospitality management. The program is an intensive 14-week experience designed to provide hands-on training at one of the company’s top-performing hotels. Candidates will rotate through various departments including housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, and administration, gaining a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations. Throughout the program, participants will report directly to the General Manager and receive mentoring from a dedicated professional, helping them develop essential management skills.
More than just an entry-level position, the Manager in Training program at Drury Hotels prepares individuals for future supervisory or management roles tailored to their strengths and career goals. The program emphasizes leadership development, operational knowledge, and guest service excellence. Upon successful completion, participants can expect to take on responsibilities such as serving as Manager on Duty, managing team operations, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel. Drury Hotels prioritizes a supportive and dynamic work environment, ensuring that trainees are equipped with the tools and experiences necessary for long-term career growth.
Working at Drury Hotels extends beyond a paycheck. Employees benefit from quarterly bonuses up to $3,200 annually separate from the base salary, flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, paid time off, hotel discounts, and free room nights. The company also invests in employee health and wellness through medical, dental, vision, prescription, life, and disability insurance plans, alongside a Team Member Assistance Program. Additionally, Drury Hotels offers a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan, mentoring programs, cross-training, development plans, and management training to foster continuous professional growth.
This role is ideal for energetic and personable individuals who are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Drury Hotels seeks candidates who are at least 21 years old, fully relocatable after the program, and have a background in hospitality or business, preferably with some leadership experience, whether in work settings or classroom environments. Recent graduates up to one year post-graduation are encouraged to apply, highlighting Drury Hotels' investment in emerging talent within the hospitality industry.
