Job Description
WSC is a reputable company committed to providing comprehensive and high-quality services within its operational facilities. Known for integrating corporate resources including human capital, materials, facilities, and financial assets, WSC strives to ensure that all operations meet or exceed the standards set forth in their Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW). As a trusted service provider, WSC values a structured, safe, and efficient work environment that supports the mission and goals of the organization while maintaining compliance with all contractual obligations.
The Manager I position at WSC is a full-time role with a starting salary of $48,000, designed for an experienced professional who will take on significant responsibilities in managing and coordinating all aspects of the operational facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the facility operates smoothly, meets contractual requirements, and adheres to quality and safety standards. The Manager I will oversee corporate resources, manage staff, and implement operational policies that align with both corporate guidelines and contract expectations.
This managerial role involves not just the oversight of daily operations, but also strategic functions including financial planning, budget monitoring, inventory control, and contract management. The Manager I is expected to collaborate with contract teams to guarantee contract renewals are processed in a timely manner and to assist upper management in both short-term and long-term planning initiatives. Supervisory functions include hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and enforcing discipline as needed while ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and company policies.
The position demands strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and a focus on problem-solving and results-driven management. Given the diversity of the work environment—which ranges from professional office settings to operational and potentially harsh physical conditions—the Manager I must be adaptable and maintain composure under stress. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, handling materials, and occasionally lifting heavy objects, which reflects the hands-on nature of this role.
Furthermore, the Manager I will be responsible for ensuring that all employees understand and comply with safety regulations and operational procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and implementing training and certification programs to prepare for staffing needs. The role requires availability during some off-hours to respond to employee concerns and emergencies, and may involve some local and occasional out-of-area travel for meetings or conferences.
WSC’s commitment to equal opportunity employment underscores its dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all qualified individuals are welcomed and considered without discrimination. This position offers a dynamic and challenging career opportunity for professionals prepared to take on supervisory responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the organization's success.
