Job Description
MKTG Sports + Entertainment is a global agency that leverages the power of sports and entertainment to create impactful brand experiences. With over 20 years of expertise, MKTG S+E specializes in igniting fandom and innovating activation strategies that resonate with audiences worldwide. As part of the larger dentsu Sports International network, the agency combines deep insights and a network of seasoned creative professionals to craft meaningful connections between properties, fans, and brands. Known for its award-winning work and dynamic culture, MKTG Sports + Entertainment has fostered a community of passionate sports, music, data, art, and culture fans whose enthusiasm fuels the agency’s pursuit of excellence and innovation.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Charlotte, offering a salary range of $58,000 to $74,000 annually, contingent on experience and other factors. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work on award-winning accounts within a high-performing team environment where attention to detail, motivation, and confidence are highly valued.
The position is designed for individuals with a minimum of five years of experience in corporate communications, program management, or Chief of Staff-type roles. The successful candidate will support senior leaders and executives by managing complex projects and communications, overseeing event logistics, and delivering exceptional client service within fast-paced, multifaceted environments. Responsibilities include managing daily communications related to sponsorship programs, acting as a strategic partner to clients by optimizing their time and initiatives, and representing both client and company in guest-facing hospitality experiences.
Candidates will engage in drafting key documents, preparing briefing materials, managing event registration platforms, and leading client conference calls and meetings. There is a strong emphasis on project management, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. Being hands-on with event logistics such as guest trackers, rooming lists, and transportation manifests is critical, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and communication streams simultaneously.
The role also entails conducting on-site management of hospitality events, evaluating outcomes, and providing strategic recommendations for continuous improvement. Frequent travel, including weekdays and weekends, is required to fulfill the responsibilities effectively.
MKTG Sports + Entertainment fosters an inclusive, diverse, and supportive work culture where individuality is celebrated, and employees are empowered to bring their full selves to work. The agency prioritizes collaboration, community, inspiring change, pursuing excellence, and celebrating bravery, creating a workplace where good work is rewarded and team members are energized by their colleagues.
Dentsu provides comprehensive benefits focused on employee well-being, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; 401k plans; flexible paid time off; paid holidays; sick leave; and parental leave. Flexible working arrangements and progressive parental and caregiver programs promote work-life balance, and there are opportunities for community involvement through global social responsibility initiatives. MKTG’s commitment to equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations ensures an accessible and equitable recruitment process for all candidates.
