The Food Safety Manager role at Sodexo is a pivotal position situated within a large, fast-paced campus environment. This role merges technical expertise in food safety with leadership, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to promote safety and quality at every culinary and service touchpoint. As the Food Safety Manager, you will take the lead in shaping and implementing comprehensive food safety programs, ensuring full regulatory and brand compliance across all kitchens, cafés, production areas, and storage facilities. Your proactive approach will involve conducting thorough safety audits, managing food safety incidents, and delivering effective training programs that embed a culture of safety among culinary teams and contractors.

This role is essential in delivering safe, high-quality food experiences, supporting operational readiness during menu rollouts and equipment onboarding, and analyzing safety data to provide actionable insights to leadership. You will be at the forefront of developing corrective and preventive action plans, maintaining high sanitation standards, and working collaboratively with culinary, facilities, procurement, and workplace teams. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum three years of food safety experience
  • strong understanding of HACCP and FDA Food Code
  • ability to conduct audits and inspections
  • experience investigating food safety incidents
  • proficiency in developing and delivering training
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead food safety compliance ensuring adherence to FDA Food Code, HACCP, and local health department regulations
  • conduct safety audits performing routine inspections of kitchens, cafés, production areas, and storage
  • manage incidents by investigating foodborne illness claims, contamination events, and operational deviations and developing CAPA plans
  • deliver training creating and facilitating engaging training on sanitation, allergen management, HACCP, and safe food handling
  • strengthen operational readiness supporting menu rollouts, equipment onboarding, and process changes to embed safety
  • analyze safety data tracking KPIs, audit scores, temperature logs, and compliance trends and presenting insights to leadership
