The job opportunity available is for a Food Production Supervisor in a full-time, exempt role, offering an annual salary range of $80,000 to $85,000. This position is uniquely designed for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume food production settings. Reporting directly to unit management, the Food Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing food production employees, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within the company’s operation.
The responsibilities of the role encompass supervising a team of over 100 hourly employees in a unionized setting, maintaining operational control over labor and food costs, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to enforce stringent quality production standards and compliance with food safety regulations to maintain the highest level of food quality and sanitation. The supervisor will work closely with management staff to optimize the unit's performance, administer necessary administrative reports, and uphold customer specifications, including airline meal diagrams and coding standards.
Another significant aspect of this position includes budget oversight, focusing on meeting goals related to productivity, labor expenses, and overtime management. The role also involves conducting inventory checks to minimize waste, managing supply requisitions, and maintaining documentation such as daily temperature and other operational logs. Additionally, this position requires active involvement in employee coaching, performance evaluations, scheduling, and retention strategies to reduce turnover and foster a positive work environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a high volume food production environment
- Minimum of 5 years cook or food production experience
- Must have strong leadership skills and ability to manage large staff
- Ability to train others

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree or degree from a 4-year university or college preferred
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment required
- Minimum of 5 years cook or food production or preparation experience required
- Must have strong and effective leadership skills

Job Duties
- Ensures quality production standards are followed and maintained
- Ensures employees adhere to HACCP, FDA and safety regulations and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Controls food cost and other controllable costs
- Maintains all financial goals related to productivity, overtime, labor goals and meals per hour
