Job Description
Lyric at RidgeGate is a vibrant and eclectic residential community developed by Shea Homes, situated in the scenic South Metro Denver area of Colorado. Nestled within the expansive RidgeGate development, this community offers residents a unique blend of nature-inspired living with a dynamic, urban energy. The thoughtfully designed environment at Lyric features an array of amenities that foster wellness, social engagement, and creativity. Residents can enjoy access to a state-of-the-art fitness center to maintain their health and vitality, a cozy coffee house ideal for casual meetups, and a signature restaurant that promises exceptional culinary experiences. Beyond these, the community provides inviting spaces for swimming, lounging, and socializing, making it a remarkable place to live, connect, and relax.
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager role at Lyric serves as a critical leadership position within this thriving community. Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage or Club Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning and providing proactive leadership to the F&B team. Their focus will be on achieving peak operational performance, guiding culinary decisions, planning and managing events, and elevating the overall guest experience. The F&B Manager will play an essential role in upholding and advancing the high standards of service excellence intrinsic to Lyric’s hospitality offerings. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package for team members working 30 hours or more per week, which supports their health, wellbeing, and work-life balance.
Key responsibilities for the Food & Beverage Manager encompass a broad spectrum of leadership, operational oversight, financial management, and guest relations. The role requires clear communication and alignment with the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf, supporting company goals and providing strategic insights on F&B initiatives such as business planning, menu development, branding, and club design. Maintaining superior food service standards to consistently exceed both employee and guest expectations is paramount. The manager is also tasked with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating the F&B team, ensuring that team members thrive and celebrate shared successes. Additional duties include managing costs related to goods, labor, and other operational expenses, as well as overseeing budget creation and execution, purchase order programs, and operational reporting.
The position also involves overseeing all F&B functions including corporate parties and weddings, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends through participation in culinary exhibitions and seminars. This role demands a dynamic individual who exemplifies exceptional customer focus, strong team leadership abilities, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and unwavering commitment to BlueStar's core values: honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The F&B Manager must be capable of handling multiple priorities with composure, making sound decisions, and inspiring their team to deliver memorable culinary experiences in a hospitality setting.
Ideal candidates for this role will hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess three to five years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry, including at least one to three years in a supervisory capacity. The role requires certifications such as a current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification as well as a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of restaurant database software, county regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel are considered valuable assets. The candidate must also be able to understand and implement dining standards, analyze food costs, create budgets, and communicate effectively with staff and guests alike.
The working environment for the Food & Beverage Manager is a hybrid of office, kitchen, and outdoor settings, requiring flexibility, physical stamina, and the ability to adapt to varying conditions such as heat, noise, and outdoor terrain. Team members can expect to work evenings and weekends with occasional travel as needed. Lyric at RidgeGate, supported by BlueStar Resort & Golf, is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering a robust benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO accrual, paid holidays, and participation in a 401(k) plan after meeting service requirements.
