Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food and beverage management or similar 4-year degree
- ten years progressive leadership responsibility
- strong financial skills for budgeting and monitoring food and beverage financial performance
- strong understanding of bar operations, casual and upscale dining, and kitchen procedures
- ability to work on site and cover vacancies in the restaurant for extended periods of time until a suitable replacement is hired and on-boarded
- strong leadership, teaching, diagnostic and analytic skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Drive increase in additional food and beverage revenue
- maintain profit and loss accountability to operating budgets through financial reporting and food and beverage operations
- lead customer service and resident experience improvements by developing and improving food and beverage SOPs and best practices
- create implementation plans to support execution of food and beverage programs, products, pricing, and menu changes
- assist with people, talent recruitment, mentoring, and training of food and beverage teams to maximize profitability and develop service culture
- conduct evaluations and present recommendations, strategic options, and business plans to associations
- support growth and sales process to communities with food and beverage operations
- work on site to support and cover for property position deficits
- perform detailed evaluation reports on properties to ensure compliance with food and beverage standards
- assist in recruiting and interview efforts
- review and assist in food and beverage budgets for properties
- complete food and beverage transition checklists and performance improvement plans
- develop and update service standards for all food and beverage operations
- assist with budget capital expenditure bids for kitchens and bar operations
- lead food and beverage start-up process and assist with new openings including marketing to residents
- build and conduct front-of-house and back-of-house audits
- provide oversight and approval for menu concepts, staffing guidelines, cost of sale, and revenue initiatives
- ensure balance between resident satisfaction, service experience, and financial accountability
- research, develop, evaluate, and implement new services, technology, and processes
- analyze trends in service ratings and resident feedback to troubleshoot and take corrective action
- conduct regular visits and audits to review property operations
- meet with management teams to discuss visit objectives, progress, and results
- collaborate with food and beverage and lifestyle directors to assist with events and organizational processes
- partner with training to ensure staff are properly trained on food services operations and health and safety standards
- practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards
- conduct business with high personal and professional ethics
- perform or assist with operations as required
- participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities and resolve problems
- ensure all safety precautions are followed
- follow policies and standard operating procedures
- perform special projects and related duties as assigned
