The Manager Field Ops position at United Site Services is a critical role involving full operational oversight at a branch level. This full-time managerial role entails direct supervision of multiple teams including dispatchers, service technicians, drivers, yard personnel, and fence crews. The Manager Field Ops ensures the smooth execution of daily operations by reviewing and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all paperwork such as manifests and routing tickets. Monitoring service levels and delivery efficiencies is crucial, with the Manager responsible for recommending and implementing improvements to optimize operational practices and enhance customer care. Strong cross-departmental communication is a key facet of this role, helping to coordinate activities regionally and resolve customer service or delivery challenges efficiently. In addition to operational management, the Manager Field Ops analyses metrics such as service levels, routing efficiency, labor costs including overtime, and fuel consumption, reporting these insights to regional leadership. Collaborating with the Regional Vice President, the Manager participates in developing and rolling out standard operating procedures to improve branch performance. Safety administration is another vital responsibility, involving coordination with safety and HR departments to uphold rigorous safety standards and training. The role also includes administrative duties such as approving employee time punches and time-off requests while managing payroll submissions. Employee development through performance evaluations and fostering a positive, safe workplace environment underscores the company’s dedication to team well-being.
This position requires operating company vehicles frequently, including hauling trailers when necessary, emphasizing the physical and practical aspects of the job.
