This career opportunity is for the role of Area Franchise Lead, Tim Hortons Latin America & Caribbean (LAC). This pivotal position is central to driving growth and operational success for the Tim Hortons brand across diverse and emerging markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Area Franchise Lead is tasked with supporting and developing successful franchise business strategies, optimizing performance, and leading new market entries from strategic planning to execution. This role demands a strong partnership approach, acting as the main point of contact between franchisees and corporate initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional teams including finance, operations, marketing, procurement, and supply chain to ensure alignment and operational excellence.

Success in this role relies on a blend of business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and project management capabilities. The position requires frequent onsite collaboration with franchisees and internal teams following a 5-day in-office work schedule to foster robust communication and partnership. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Availability to work onsite five days per week
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage projects and multitask effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus
  • More than 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Preferred background in business, consultancy, operations, supply chain, or finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required
  • Additional languages (e.g., Portuguese) are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and high-level stakeholders is preferred

Job Duties

  • Manages franchisee relationships
  • Acts as the main point of contact for brand initiatives that impact franchisees and restaurants
  • Supports franchisees across multiple functions, including development, finance, operations, marketing, and franchising
  • Liaises between corporate and franchise partners to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Optimizes franchise business performance to drive long-term growth and increase franchisee value
  • Identifies and develops opportunities for franchisee expansion and new business development
  • Leads and manages planning and execution for new market/country entry projects across Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Develops strategic proposals for growth and evaluates opportunities in complementary markets
  • Oversees project timelines and coordinates cross-functional actions required for market openings
  • Collaborates with various departments including finance, operations, procurement, and supply chain
  • Identifies root causes of operational challenges across franchise organizations
  • Implements improvements through business reviews, action plans, and regular performance check-ins
  • Coaches franchisees to enhance guest satisfaction, service speed, and profitability
  • Supports operational excellence through tools and tactics designed to increase sales and maintain high standards
  • Leads multi-functional business review presentations for RBI International leadership team
