About the role
Rippling is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Marketing Manager to lead and expand its field marketing efforts. As Rippling continues its impressive growth trajectory toward surpassing $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR), events and field marketing remain critical drivers in the demand generation strategy. This position is responsible for transforming Rippling’s current event programs into a scalable, strategic field marketing engine that not only targets core HR buyers but also adapts across diverse audiences, product markets, and business segments. This role is a blend of leadership and hands-on execution, requiring the candidate to act both as a player and a coach. The Field Marketing Manager will lead a team of field marketers, devise strategic initiatives specifically for core HR, develop scalable operational processes, and personally execute impactful field events and tactics.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned field marketer with a strong ownership mindset who can independently manage all aspects from strategy development and sales alignment to execution and pipeline attribution. Rippling’s fast-paced, high-performance culture demands an individual who thrives in ambiguity, pays close attention to detail, and consistently pushes innovation beyond traditional B2B marketing methods. The role also involves budget management and requires a proven ability to build systems, templates, and playbooks that elevate team performance. With a focus on maximizing ROI and accelerating deal flow, this position plays a pivotal role in fuel customer acquisition and growth in the competitive HR technology space. Additionally, the Field Marketing Manager will collaborate heavily with executives and cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with broader company goals. This role requires occasional travel, about 20-30%, to participate in key industry events, highlighting the importance of being present to drive Rippling’s market influence.
