Job Description

Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned non-profit medical practice and medical research group that is consistently ranked among the best healthcare providers in the United States. With a reputation for innovation, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive patient-centered care, Mayo Clinic is dedicated to improving health through clinical practice, education, and research. Founded over a century ago, Mayo Clinic has expanded its footprint beyond its original location in Rochester, Minnesota, to include campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; and various sites within the Mayo Clinic Health System across Midwestern communities. Each location offers a unique environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The organization prides itself on fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous learning, making it an ideal place to build a long and rewarding career.

The Facilities Support Services department at Mayo Clinic is currently seeking an experienced Manager to lead its daily logistics operations that span hospital and clinic settings. This full-time exempt position, with a salary range between $82,908.80 and $124,467.20 per year, involves overseeing the safe and efficient movement of critical items such as specimens, pharmaceuticals, surgical equipment, and other essential materials. The Manager ensures that all operations comply with organizational policies, OSHA requirements, and infection prevention standards, thereby supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role also encompasses management of outreach fleet vehicle operations, including compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Responsibilities include vehicle readiness, preventative maintenance, driver compliance, regulatory documentation, and vendor relations.

In addition to operational oversight, the Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize workflows and enhance efficiencies, employing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. The role requires significant leadership skills to manage diverse work units including attendants, information desk services, logistics, parking and enforcement, patient transport and escort, telephone operations, and transportation program units. The individual will lead budgetary planning, purchasing, and service agreements to align with financial targets. Communication is critical to handle customer concerns proactively and maintain service excellence.

This role demands a highly organized and proactive leader with strong analytical skills who can coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of safety and accountability. The Manager also serves as a primary change agent, ensuring staff and organizational alignment to meet evolving needs and standards. The position is based on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with hours potentially varying based on business needs and occasional weekend work. Mayo Clinic offers a competitive benefits package that includes multiple medical and dental options, vision plans, pretax savings accounts, and a robust retirement plan, all designed to support employees and their families now and in the future.

This vacancy does not offer sponsorship or transfer visas and is not eligible for the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Mayo Clinic is an equal opportunity employer and actively participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. If you are a motivated leader with a passion for healthcare logistics and operational management, this opportunity at Mayo Clinic provides a platform to make a tangible impact while advancing your career in an organization that values its employees and patients alike.
