The role of Manager, Experiential Beverage Strategy is a unique and exciting opportunity within Suntory Global Spirits to lead the development and execution of beverage strategies. This position focuses on bringing the brand’s identity to life through experiential, corporate, and trade-facing platforms. The manager plays a pivotal role in shaping scalable serve strategies, programming engaging events, and crafting top-tier hospitality experiences. Working cross-functionally with brand, marketing, and commercial teams, this role ensures alignment across all touchpoints to strengthen brand presence and drive consumer engagement.

This position requires a global perspective, incorporating knowledge of international beverage trends, cocktail culture, and cultural nuances to ensure that strategies are relevant and scalable beyond the U.S. and New York City headquarters. Additionally, the role provides hands-on support during high-volume or priority moments at the NYC HQ bars to maintain elevated guest experiences and operational efficiency. The creativity and strategic thinking expected in this role enable the translation of the brand’s Crafted Liquid principles into innovative cocktail recipes, rituals, and immersive guest experiences.

The Manager, Experiential Beverage Strategy at Suntory will have the opportunity to lead beverage strategies for corporate communication events, key brand activations, and engagements within Suntory Holdings. The role also supports the execution of high-profile events both internally and externally, acting as a subject matter expert on beverage trends and hospitality standards. Managing relationships with bartenders and partners across key U.S. and select global markets fosters deeper brand advocacy and strengthens industry connections. The candidate will develop and deliver educational programs, training materials, and scalable tools that elevate product stories and ensure consistent execution.

Collaboration is key in this role, partnering closely with the Chicago-based mixology lead and global teams on RFP development, programming, and sharing best practices. The role demands adaptability to meet diverse market needs while maintaining the integrity of Suntory’s premium spirit brands. This includes integrating MBC (Mindful Beverage Creation) principles, which emphasize the science of flavor, into all aspects of beverage development and marketing.

Located in New York City, this role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $125,000, accompanied by an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and comprehensive medical and wellness benefits. The position involves moderate travel to support events and markets, reflecting its hands-on and collaborative nature within the company’s vibrant and inclusive culture. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8+ years of relevant hospitality or beverage strategy experience
  • Proven mixology skills and cocktail development knowledge
  • Ability to work hands-on during high-volume, fast-paced events
  • Experience in brand activations and experiential marketing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel moderately for events and market support
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to upholding high hospitality standards

Job Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in hospitality, mixology, beverage strategy, or related field
  • Strong understanding of cocktail development, spirits, and bar operations
  • Knowledge of global beverage trends, cocktail culture, and emerging techniques
  • Comfort working hands-on in fast-paced bar environments during high-volume events or activations
  • Experience supporting brand activations, events, or experiential marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with marketing and commercial teams
  • WSET certification is preferred
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate ideas into execution
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Creativity and innovation in beverage development and programming
  • Project management and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and hospitality excellence

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute beverage and serve strategies that support the signature taste of the brands
  • Leverage Mindful Beverage Creation principles to translate the science of flavor into cocktails and serves
  • Translate liquid truth into recommended cocktails, rituals, and guest experiences
  • Incorporate global beverage trends, techniques, and cultural insights to inform drink strategies
  • Partner with brand and marketing teams for consistency across experiential, POS, and social media platforms
  • Lead beverage strategy for corporate communication events, brand activations, and Suntory Holdings engagements
  • Support execution of high-profile events internally and externally as a subject matter expert
  • Provide on-the-ground bar support at NYC HQ during peak or high-volume periods
  • Ensure elevated hospitality standards and seamless guest experience delivery
  • Build and maintain relationships with key bartenders and bar partners in NYC, U.S., and select global markets
  • Drive brand advocacy and visibility within the hospitality community
  • Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities
  • Develop and deliver brand education, training materials, and serve guidelines
  • Support internal and external training to elevate product knowledge and storytelling
  • Create scalable tools for consistent execution
  • Partner with Chicago mixology lead on RFP development and national programming
