The Manager, Enterprise Events at NorthBay Health plays a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and enhancement of systemwide internal and enterprise events. This leadership position is responsible for creating and implementing event strategies that elevate employee engagement, celebrate organizational culture, and strengthen physician relationships, alongside enhancing NorthBay Health’s brand visibility. The Manager is charged with delivering consistent, high-quality event experiences across multiple counties, ensuring alignment with the institution’s mission, vision, and core values.

In this role, the incumbent manages a portfolio of over 20 annual enterprise events, which includes everything from intimate leadership meetings to large-scale gatherings accommodating up to 3,000 participants. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive event logistics such as venue booking, catering, audio-visual setups, décor, transportation, and staffing. The Manager coordinates with various internal departments including Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Operations, the Foundation, and executive leadership to ensure seamless event delivery that supports organizational goals. Budgeting and vendor management fall within the scope of duties, as well as process development to foster scalable, efficient event operations supporting NorthBay Health’s growth initiatives.

The role demands strong organizational and project management skills, adeptness at handling multiple complex events simultaneously, and exceptional interpersonal communication. The Manager ensures professional execution and post-event evaluation to continually improve event quality and impact. This position requires flexibility with work hours to accommodate evening and weekend events and involves physical activity such as setting up and managing event materials on-site. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, extensive experience in event management, and demonstrated leadership qualities including business acumen, problem-solving, decision-making, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and clinical staff. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business, event management, or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in event management, hospitality, marketing, or related field
  • At least two years of experience leading or managing events, projects, or teams preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale events and multiple projects simultaneously required
  • Healthcare, nonprofit, or corporate event experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage complex events with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Budget management and vendor contracts experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Google Forms
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow through and ability to work independently
  • Results-oriented management and effective project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle job-related stress, multiple projects and deadlines

Job Duties

  • Lead planning and execution of enterprise and internal events that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, physician relationships, and organizational culture
  • Own the annual enterprise events portfolio, including employee, volunteer, leadership, and systemwide events across multiple counties
  • Develop event plans, timelines, run-of-show documents, and operational workflows
  • Manage all event logistics including venue coordination, catering, rentals, audio visual, décor, signage, transportation, and staffing
  • Oversee on-site event execution and conduct pre-event site walkthroughs
  • Manage vendor relationships including contracts, scheduling, and performance oversight
  • Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and approve invoices
  • Partner with internal departments and serve as primary point of contact for enterprise events
  • Develop scalable processes, templates, and tools for event portfolio growth
  • Provide event planning support for Foundation, donor, or partnership events as needed
