The Dining Room Manager role at Guest Services is a vital position designed to support the General Manager with daily floor operations, focusing on food, beverage, equipment, and facility management to achieve the company’s financial goals and operational initiatives. This full-time role has an annual compensation of $46,000. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for supervising the dining room environment, fostering a customer-centric team that consistently delivers exemplary service. This role involves overseeing meal shifts to ensure guest satisfaction, coordinating with the General Manager to plan and execute daily food and beverage operations, and managing a diverse team through scheduling, training, supervision, and performance reviews. Additionally, the manager plays an active role in customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-equipped dining environment is another critical responsibility, involving compliance with standards related to food safety, sanitation, employee hygiene, and facility maintenance. The Dining Room Manager is also expected to represent the company professionally in all interactions and contribute to enhancing the brand image. Physical presence and a proactive approach to safety and quality control are essential, as is the ability to perform opening and closing management procedures as needed.

Success in this role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of related management experience, and Food Protection Manager Certification. Candidates should have a strong aptitude for leadership, organization, problem-solving, and customer service, capable of motivating and managing a team effectively. The role demands physical stamina to move frequently within the facility, lift varying weights, work in temperature-variable environments, and communicate clearly in English. Proficiency with standard commercial cooking equipment and typical office technology is also necessary. Job Duties

  • Oversee meal shifts and ensure guest satisfaction within the unit
  • receive direction from the General Manager and assist in the overall management of the unit's food and beverage operations
  • assist in planning and developing daily operations
  • assist in scheduling, supervising, and participating in the operational duties specific to the unit
  • schedule daily work assignments for all dining room personnel, assigning specific jobs and spot checking to ensure standards are met
  • assist in recruiting, supervising, training, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the dining room staff
  • respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints
  • maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of dining room area and wait stations, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene
  • notify General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues
  • represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • maintain and enhance the company's image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors
  • perform opening and/or closing management procedures
  • maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager
