The role of Manager - eCommerce Analytics at BWH Hotels is a key corporate position focused on enhancing the online consumer experience to drive revenue growth and improve guest engagement. This full-time, hybrid position is based at the Global Operations Center in Phoenix, requiring onsite presence three days per week and offering flexibility to work remotely on other days. The core working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, designed to balance productivity with work-life harmony.

As the Manager - eCommerce Analytics, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on data gathered from various digital platforms like Adobe Analytics, DataLake, and Customer Data Platform (CDP). Your expertise will be crucial in synthesizing large volumes of data to identify actionable insights, validate data integrity, and support business initiatives that contribute to revenue growth through multiple guest-facing revenue channels, including the flagship bestwestern.com. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in formulating testable hypotheses, building insight-driven dashboards, and presenting findings to senior leadership. In addition, you will play a leadership role, mentoring peer analysts and managing data governance efforts.

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented with a strong ability to translate complex data into understandable insights, enhancing decision-making processes. Proficiency with advanced analytics tools, experience managing customer data platforms, and excellent communication skills are essential. Hospitality industry experience is considered a plus, although not mandatory. Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics with a focus on eCommerce
  • supervisory or management experience required
  • strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • proficiency with Adobe Analytics and SQL
  • experience with Customer Data Platforms
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • ability to work hybrid schedule (onsite Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • remote Tuesday, Thursday)
  • bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytical role with a focus on eCommerce
  • minimum 6 to 8 years related experience, including supervisory or management experience
  • ability to transform complex facts, figures, and numbers into plain English that can be easily understood
  • keen attention to detail, financial responsibility, and strong organizational skills
  • adept at compiling accurate reports and presenting analytical findings in a clear, concise manner
  • experience implementing and maintaining analytics tagging solutions, including setting and validating tags and configuring website data layers
  • experience managing and enhancing a Customer Data Platform (CDP), including partnering with engineering and marketing teams to improve data quality and audience activation
  • excellent communication skills
  • hospitality experience a plus
  • BS / BA degree in mathematics, computer science, or statistics preferred
  • experience with Adobe Analytics / Customer Journey Analytics and SQL

Job Duties

  • produce and report on insights to drive revenue through bestwestern.com and other guest facing revenue channels
  • formulate hypotheses that can be tested, measured, and reported on to a larger audience
  • support business initiatives by identifying key trends in data that can drive growth for the business
  • validate data integrity in all analyses performed
  • support department-wide ROI reporting and analyses when needed
  • build insight-minded dashboards to identify and analyze trends and shifts in customer behavior across both browser and native mobile apps
  • present insights to members of the Best Western leadership team
  • trains, manages, and mentors direct supports as other peer analysts across multiple teams
