Job Description
The Maryland Food Bank (MFB) is a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger across the state of Maryland. With a mission focused on feeding people, strengthening communities, and ending hunger, the organization operates a vast statewide network of community-based partners. From the western mountains to the Eastern Shore, MFB distributes nutritious food to children, seniors, veterans, and hardworking families, delivering the equivalent of over 41 million meals annually, which translates to about 114,000 meals every day. MFB's approach extends beyond food distribution by also providing job training programs, access to supportive services, benefits, and advocacy work aimed at addressing the systemic causes of food insecurity. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in their workplace culture, which fosters talent development and employee contribution across a diverse workforce.
The Maryland Food Bank is currently seeking a Manager of Corporate Philanthropy, a pivotal role responsible for growing and maintaining corporate partnerships. This hybrid position (requiring at least three days on-site weekly) offers an annual salary range of $70,000 to $75,000. The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of 75 to 100 corporate partners and prospects, managing engagement strategies that align corporate social responsibility goals with MFB's priorities. The role requires expertise in relationship-building, revenue generation, and executing cause marketing and volunteering programs. The Manager acts as the primary contact for partners and coordinates cross-functional efforts to deliver assets, impact reporting, and recognition. Additional duties include supporting corporate events and sponsorships, analyzing portfolio performance, and ensuring superior partner experiences to enhance retention and revenue. This role demands excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant fundraising, sales, or business development experience with a proven record of meeting revenue goals, strong proficiency in MS 365 and fundraising databases, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree and experience with fundraising CRMs like Raiser's Edge, along with a background in corporate engagement models. The position operates mostly from an office environment with occasional warehouse movement and travel to other MFB locations, requiring flexibility including occasional evening and weekend hours. MFB emphasizes ethical standards and safety, requiring background checks and drug screening for all employees.
