Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, with a rich heritage rooted in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Established over a century ago, Hilton has grown to become one of the most iconic hotel brands worldwide, spearheading innovation in hospitality and setting industry standards for service and quality. With more than 3 billion guests welcomed to its portfolio of world-class brands, Hilton continues to expand its footprint, providing unparalleled accommodations and experiences. The company fosters a culture of inclusion, diversity, and support for its team members, aiming to build both memorable guest stays and rewarding careers. Hilton's commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its guest services but also in its workplace culture, which has earned it repeated recognition on prestigious lists such as the World’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine. Employees enjoy a collaborative working environment, robust professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their wellbeing and growth.
The role of Manager, Conference and Event Operations at Hilton is a pivotal position responsible for managing, planning, and executing Hilton's premier internal conferences. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to lead large-scale corporate conferences, including Brand, Owner, Commercial, and Leadership Conferences, that can accommodate up to 10,000 attendees. The Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Special Events and work closely with internal partners to understand their objectives, budget, messaging, and timelines. Essential responsibilities include orchestrating the full lifecycle of large conferences — from conception and strategic planning to successful execution — working collaboratively with the Special Events team, venue representatives, vendors, and various stakeholders. The conferences include multiple components such as general sessions, breakout sessions, trade shows, off-site events, and meal functions, requiring detailed oversight and project management.
This role demands exceptional organizational and leadership skills for managing concurrent workstreams such as housing, branding, AV, transportation, sponsorships, and event technology. The Manager will lead calls, manage RFP and RFQ processes, negotiate sourcing and contracting with vendors and venues, and prepare high-level presentations for senior leaders. Additionally, the role requires ongoing communication and collaboration across departments including marketing, Hilton Supply Management, and legal teams to ensure compliance with all corporate policies. The Manager will be responsible for the timely distribution of project updates and status reports, risk management, and recommending improvements to enhance the attendee experience and operational efficiencies.
Candidates for this position should have a minimum of six years’ experience in event management with expertise in corporate event strategy and execution. The role also demands proficiency in executive-level PowerPoint presentations, Excel, and familiarity with event management tools such as Cvent. Experience working collaboratively with creative agencies, AV providers, and event production companies is required, and the ability to operate effectively in a remote, matrixed organizational structure is essential.
Hilton offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and location, along with eligibility to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive Bonus Plan. The company places great emphasis on team members’ work-life balance and wellbeing, providing exceptional travel perks, paid parental leave, mental health resources, caregiving support, and a generous paid time off policy. Team members are also offered a valuable employee stock purchase program, health, dental, and retirement benefits, ensuring a comprehensive support system.
Joining Hilton means becoming part of a company that not only delivers world-class hospitality to guests but also fosters career growth and personal development in a supportive, award-winning culture. This remote position is ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented conference and event manager seeking to contribute to Hilton’s continued success and global leadership in the hospitality industry.
