The Clinical Research Manager position at Baylor Scott & White Health plays a critical role in overseeing the administration of clinical research activities within specific departments. This role is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations, development of budgets, compliance with regulatory standards, and coordination with investigators and industry partners. The Clinical Research Manager ensures that research projects are conducted efficiently and ethically, contributing to advancements in medical science and improving patient outcomes.

This role involves strategic planning, contract negotiation with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, policy development, personnel management, and coordination of resources necessary for successful clinical trials. The manager leads a team, mentoring and training clinical research staff to uphold high standards and achieve departmental goals. A key aspect of the position is maintaining communication between various stakeholders, including Principal Investigators and financial administrators, to align research activities with institutional objectives and regulatory requirements.

The Clinical Research Manager also contributes to the development of scientific protocols and tools that enhance the effectiveness of clinical research. This leadership position requires a blend of administrative expertise, scientific knowledge, and interpersonal skills to guide research projects through complex operational and regulatory environments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of work experience above minimum qualifications
  • four years of experience in clinical research or related field
  • one year of supervisory or management experience
  • ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • capability to manage time-sensitive projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • commitment to delivering high-quality customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • four years of relevant work experience
  • supervisory or management experience preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
  • research certification or specialty area certifications preferred
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • proven leadership and team collaboration skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • commitment to effective customer service

Job Duties
