The Manager of Catering and Event Operations at Cook Children's Medical Center plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of all catering services and the coordination of events within the organization. This is a full-time position with standard weekly hours of 40, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during the first shift, based in Fort Worth. The role demands a leader who can drive operational excellence within food and nutrition services by managing a team of individual contributors, orchestrating event logistics, overseeing system workflows, and fostering effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, food service, catering, or event operations, with at least four years of experience, complemented by an associate degree in nutrition, food service, or related field.

This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with safety standards and delivering a consistently high-quality service experience to all stakeholders, including patients, families, staff, and guests. The Manager oversees the end-to-end process of catering services and event coordination, ensuring adherence to organizational policies while maximizing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include planning and executing events, managing resources and budgets, maintaining vendor relations, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure all aspects of events are flawlessly implemented.

The candidate should demonstrate expertise in managing complex event operations and possess strong leadership skills to guide teams effectively under dynamic conditions. Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in nutrition, food service or related field
  • minimum 4 years of experience in hospitality, food service, catering or event operations
  • successful program completion of the dietetic program at Texas Christian University (TCU) can be considered in lieu of experience or education
  • ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • willingness to adhere to safety and compliance standards
