The specific position being offered by Pyramid Global Hospitality is with AC Hotel Cincinnati at The Banks, located in the vibrant downtown area adjacent to major attractions like the Great American Ballpark and Smale Park. The Food and Beverage Manager role is designed for a highly motivated and analytical individual who embodies leadership by example. This person is a proactive solution seeker who continually challenges the status quo, inspiring and engaging team members to exceed expectations. The manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to meet financial and quality objectives within the Food and Beverage operations. They will oversee all facets of these functions, ensuring that quality standards meet or exceed the expectations characteristic of first-class operations, while also innovating to improve current models of service and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include attending weekly meetings and communicating important information to the Food and Beverage team, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration, and responding promptly to guest needs and requests. The manager will also enforce rigorous standards for food and beverage quality, service, and cost control while fostering productivity through well-defined personnel standards. They will develop appealing and marketable menus, create a positive and motivating workplace environment, oversee recruitment and training, and cultivate leadership and management skills across the Food and Beverage staff. The position demands flexibility and hands-on involvement in all areas to support seamless operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage management
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • proficiency in financial and cost control principles

  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • familiarity with hospitality industry standards and regulations

Job Duties

  • Attend weekly meetings relaying information about upcoming events to staff under supervision
  • supply information about the food and beverage capabilities and programs to other departments and clients or potential clients
  • respond to needs and requests of guests and potential guests
  • ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first-class operation
  • implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor
  • develop standards of productivity for food & beverage personnel
  • create appealing, high quality, marketable cycle menus and special event menus
  • create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees
  • oversee hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel
  • develop management skills in employees
  • assist in all food and beverage operations in whatever capacity needed
