This resort features 536 spacious Caribbean-inspired rooms situated just steps from the vibrant Virginia Beach Boardwalk and a short walk from the ocean. This role is for a Manager Bell & Valet, a key leadership position vital to delivering an outstanding guest experience. The Manager Bell & Valet will oversee the valet and bell services, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out procedures along with efficient coordination with other resort departments. The manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction, acting as a problem solver for guest concerns, and ensuring all financial controls and property regulations are adhered to, including auditing parking fee collections. Personnel management functions such as hiring, orientation, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, scheduling, payroll monitoring, and employee recognition fall under this role. The manager is expected to foster a positive and empowering work environment, mentor team members, enforce appearance and performance standards, and maintain equipment and supplies. Additionally, the Manager Bell & Valet will act as a liaison with guest services, assist with guest and owner activities as needed, manage key control procedures, and participate in special projects assigned by the general manager. This position requires a motivated leader who can drive company success by aligning team efforts with Hilton Grand Vacations' culture and operational goals. The annual salary for this role ranges from $42,000 to $46,000, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of similar experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license
  • Prior experience in a union environment preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Runs the delivery of efficient valet/bell check-in and check-out services and coordination of valet/bell activities with other departments to ensure all standards are met and excellent customer service is provided
  • Coordinates and problem solves issues arising from owner/guest concerns with a commitment to satisfying every guest/owner
  • Audits the collection of parking fees due to the property
  • Ensures the provision of special services to owners and guests
  • Coordinates personnel functions such as selection, orientation, training, performance reviews, discipline, counseling, scheduling, pay and recognition
  • Maintains a positive work environment between staff and management
  • Acts as a mentor for direct reports to develop management talent
  • Promotes team member empowerment
  • Ensures team members fully understand performance standards, uniforms and appearance standards
  • Monitors payroll hours and reports
  • Routinely inspects department to ensure that equipment is in proper working condition and supplies are stocked
  • Serves as liaison with the Guest Services department to resolve all team member/guest concerns
  • Assists with owner and guest activities and recreation as required by management
  • Manages key control procedures
  • May be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the general manager
