Job Description

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are the High A affiliate for the Milwaukee Brewers and a highly respected Minor League Baseball team with a reputation as an industry leader and best-in-class sports and entertainment organization. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, located between Green Bay and Milwaukee, they enjoy a vibrant community that offers a great quality of life for residents who live, work, and play in the area. Neuroscience Group Field, which serves as the team’s home stadium, features a distinguished second level Club Level space known as the Fox Club, a premier banquet and meeting venue in the Fox Valley area. This venue operates year-round and hosts a variety of banquet events, making it an integral location for corporate, social, and entertainment gatherings in the region.

The Banquet Sales and Events Manager role at Neuroscience Group Field is designed for a seasoned professional responsible for managing and executing banquets to the highest standards. This position blends sales, management, and event coordination together to ensure a seamless experience for all clients and attendees. Reporting within the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers organization, the role includes selling banquet services, organizing events, managing logistics, coordinating with food and beverage teams, and overseeing event staff. The Banquet Sales and Events Manager plays a crucial part in maintaining the venue’s reputation as a premier event location and ensuring client satisfaction through superior service.

This position involves direct interaction with clients who are interested in booking the venue for banquets and other events. The manager will conduct tours of the Fox Club, communicate with potential clients to understand their specific needs, create detailed event proposals, and coordinate every aspect of each event from start to finish. Responsibilities extend to managing a banquet staff of approximately 20-25 members, scheduling and training staff, coordinating entertainment and audiovisual requirements, as well as leading the setup and breakdown processes. The manager also acts as a liaison between clients and internal departments to deliver flawless event execution that aligns with the company's philosophy, policies, goals, and budget.

The role demands flexibility and strong commitment, as events often occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring availability for extended work hours, typically ranging from 10 to 12 hours per day and around 50 hours per week. Candidates with 3 to 5 years of banquet or hospitality management experience and education in food service or hospitality management are preferred, offering a foundation of knowledge that enhances their ability to manage complex event operations effectively. Proficiency with office and event management software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Homebase, Honeybook, and Canva is necessary to handle the multifaceted nature of the job.

Ultimately, the Banquet Sales and Events Manager contributes significantly to the success of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers beyond the ballpark by creating memorable event experiences and fostering strong client relationships. This position offers a dynamic work environment that merges hospitality, sales, and event management within a respected community sports organization.
