Job Description

BurgerWorks is a dynamic restaurant brand dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences and outstanding customer service. As part of the BurgerWorks family, team members are not only employees but also the face of the brand, representing its values and commitment to quality with pride and professionalism. The company fosters a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring a workplace where diversity is celebrated and all employees can thrive regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics. BurgerWorks values the passion and dedication of its team, which is reflected in the welcoming atmosphere and the smiles of satisfied customers at every location.

The role of a Manager at BurgerWorks is integral to maintaining these high standards. This position carries a dual responsibility: assisting the Operating Partner with overall restaurant management and serving as the direct contact and leader for Team Leaders. The Manager functions both as a leader guiding the restaurant team and as an active team member, ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This involves overseeing the training and development of hourly team members, promoting efficient operations, and driving sales growth.

Managers at BurgerWorks are tasked with upholding company policies and brand quality standards, which ensures consistency in food quality and customer service throughout every shift. They also play a key role in optimizing profits by managing food, beverage, and labor costs effectively. Leadership duties include providing direction and motivation to all team leaders and members, fostering a positive working environment, and developing staff to realize their fullest potential. The position requires a blend of operational expertise, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to create a fun yet productive atmosphere even in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.

In addition to hands-on management and team leadership, Managers handle various administrative responsibilities, including inventory management and ensuring the completion of all tasks assigned by the Operating Partner in a timely manner. They must also ensure the restaurant meets all required certifications and regulatory standards. BurgerWorks seeks individuals who are passionate about the business, compassionate toward people, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining the highest level of customer service.

This is a career development opportunity with flexible schedules, competitive bi-weekly pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.50, and a monthly performance bonus based on eligibility. The Manager position offers several attractive benefits, including medical coverage, 401(k) savings plans, and access to the Whataburger Family Foundation and Scholarship Program. Additionally, managers enjoy a quality meal program with a 100 percent discount on meals and fun team engagement initiatives such as WhataGames, designed to build camaraderie and enhance the workplace environment. Those in this role typically work under general supervision and report directly to the Operating Partner, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing success and growth of BurgerWorks restaurants.
