The Restaurant Manager role provides critical leadership within this dynamic restaurant environment. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal part in ensuring the team remains guest-focused and committed to high service standards. This salaried exempt position involves various responsibilities that support not only the management but also the operational success of the restaurant. The restaurant manager is responsible for overseeing the human resource functions including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management ensuring these align with company criteria. This role also demands proactive communication via meetings and direct interactions with staff to maintain a well-informed, motivated, and efficient team.
An essential part of the manager’s duties includes maintaining positive client and service team relationships while ensuring food quality, safety, and service standards are consistently met during dining hours. Handling customer complaints promptly and effectively is also a key function. This position requires hands-on management of scheduling, including approval of shift changes, and the facilitation of training that equips staff to execute job duties proficiently. The restaurant manager actively participates in employee development through meetings, reviews, and broader events both onsite and off-property.
Operating in an environment that can be physically demanding, the manager is expected to stand for the majority of the shift, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of personal integrity. This role requires excellent multitasking and decision-making skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems. Experience with additional software like Aloha, Compeat, Tripleseat, and Hotschedules is highly advantageous. Certifications such as ServSafe or Department of Health are also favorable for this position.

- 3+ years of supervisory experience including alcoholic beverage service
- Experience managing POS systems and daily cash controls
- Knowledge of cash register operations and cash handling procedures

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience, supervisory experience
- including alcoholic beverage service
- Experience managing POS systems and daily cash controls
- Operational knowledge of the cash register, cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports
- Strong customer service experience, knowledge of customer service techniques and high quality consciousness
- Ability to supervise and motivate others while acting as a role model, knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
- Effective communication, problem solving, planning, organizational, and creative skills

- Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks for efficient service

Job Duties
- Provide positive and proactive interaction with the clients and maintains great relationships with guests
- Manages the human resource function in the restaurant ensuring recruitment, selection, orientation, training, scheduling and performance management functions meet or exceed company specified criteria
- Implements and maintains effective two-way communication systems which reach all associates (Pre meal, weekly, monthly meetings)
- Maintain a positive working relationship with clients and service teams
- Ensures timely meal service and overall food quality and handling, safety, service, and cleanliness standards are met in all service areas
- Responds to customer complaints in person at the time of the complaint or via e-mail for electronically received complaints
- Schedules staff and approves hot schedules shift pickups
- Carry out training and development of all staff to enable them to carry out their own duties and responsibilities
- Trains staff in proper execution of their job duties
- Conduct a briefing of front of house supervisors prior to the beginning of service to ensure complete communication to necessary staff
- Maintain knowledge of service requirements detailed menu selections, major ingredients appearance, texture garnish and presentation
- Participate in employee meetings, reviews and development
- Assist with events on and off property
