Job Description

Hielan Deli is a renowned franchise-operated restaurant located at 273 Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway in Augusta, GA. This establishment prides itself on delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service within a welcoming environment. Operated by an independent franchise owner, Hielan Deli contributes to the local dining scene with a commitment to community values and culinary excellence. Though benefits may vary by location, this team-oriented workplace fosters growth and development opportunities. Employment at this location offers an annual salary range from $50,000 to $60,000, making it a competitive option for motivated individuals interested in advancing their careers in the food service industry.

The Manager role at Hielan Deli represents a vital leadership position within the restaurant’s organizational structure. As the right-hand to the General Manager (GM), the Manager is tasked with ensuring smooth operations whenever the GM is absent, effectively stepping into all managerial functions. The role requires a multifaceted leader comfortable with both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities. In collaboration with the GM, the Manager supports the entire restaurant team to optimize performance, ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain exceptional quality of product and service, and ultimately drive sales and profitability. Managers work closely with team members to uphold food preparation standards, control food and labor costs, manage inventory, and oversee vendor relations alongside other operational duties. They play an influential role in budgeting, training, staff development, and reinforcing company values such as Hielan’s Service 101 and P.A.C.E. methods. This role also demands a hands-on leader willing to perform various operational tasks from cooking to serving when necessary. Those in this position must be capable of providing timely and constructive feedback to their teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. The Manager’s commitment to the guests and team members directly impacts the overall success and reputation of the restaurant. This career opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking professional growth towards becoming a General Manager, as the position requires active engagement with the Hielan Manager Career Development plan. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate the capacity to manage a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant setting effectively.
