Maleza is more than a dining venue—it's a culinary hub where bold Mexican flavors, handcrafted cocktails, and sincere hospitality merge, creating an immersive experience for locals, travelers, and food lovers alike. Inspired by the evolving culinary scene of Mexico City, Maleza offers guests an energizing atmosphere that celebrates social connection and authentic dining.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to lead Maleza Palm Springs. This pivotal role involves driving operational excellence and cultivating an energized culture deeply rooted in hospitality, accountability, and fun. The successful candidate will oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences while managing staffing and financial performance. As a hands-on leader, you will champion staff development, spearhead guest satisfaction initiatives, and maintain rigorous compliance with food safety, labor, and service standards. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, you will ensure a seamless and memorable dining journey for every visitor.

Job Requirements
- 5+ years of restaurant management experience
- Previous General Manager experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing labor, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance
- Ability to build culture, hold teams accountable, and inspire performance
- Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in high-volume, full-service restaurant environments
- Knowledge of bar operations and beverage programs preferred
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor controls, and daily operations
- Oversee restaurant financial performance, including sales, labor, and operating expenses
- Ensure consistent execution of service standards and company expectations
- Partner closely with the Executive Chef to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings, training, and coaching initiatives
- Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and implement improvement plans when needed
- Maintain compliance with food safety, alcohol service, labor, and company standards
- Support local marketing initiatives and foster relationships within the Palm Springs community
