Currently, Highland Midtown Apartments is hiring for the Porter / Make Ready position, a critical role that ensures vacant apartments are prepared promptly and thoroughly for new residents. Candidates will be expected to perform turnover repairs, cleaning, and maintenance tasks to bring apartments to market-ready status. Additionally, the Porter / Make Ready will maintain the grounds, including snow removal, trash pickup, and cleanliness of common areas, helping to create a clean and inviting environment for all residents. This position involves occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and basic knowledge of maintenance tools.

Job Requirements
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
- Replace hardware, lighting, cleanliness and curb appeal of community grounds
- Follow safety protocols and maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
- Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
- Provide residents with outstanding customer service
- Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris
- Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces
- Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas
- Maintain dumpster and trash areas
- Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
- Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents
