The Maintenance/Operator Technician (Master Technician) role based in Prattville, AL, is a key position within Graham Packaging's production team. This 2nd shift position, working from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, offers competitive weekly pay starting at $31.35 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits effective from day one, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with company match. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection and blow molding machines, critical to the production of high-quality plastic containers. Master Technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of the workplace, optimizing machine efficiency, and minimizing waste through process improvements and quality control.

This position requires hands-on experience with plastic blow molding and injection molding equipment. The technician is responsible for machine setup, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and adjustments to maintain continuous production and product specifications. Additionally, the role involves working with various mechanical and electrical systems such as conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, compressors, chillers, and programmable controllers. The technician must perform trial runs for new molds and resins, monitor production quality closely, and maintain all documentation related to equipment maintenance and production standards.

The Maintenance/Operator Technician must work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and adherence to safety protocols. Familiarity or a willingness to train in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operation is essential, as well as computer proficiency. Candidates must be able to pass requirements to become an "Electrically Authorized" employee under the corporate Electrical Safety Training Program, emphasizing the importance of electrical safety in the role.
