Located primarily in Washington State, Sea Mar specializes in serving Latino populations while proudly offering its services to all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay. Their extensive network includes more than 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics, alongside a wide array of nutritional, social, and educational programs. Sea Mar is committed to fostering a respectful, client-centered, and culturally aware environment that enhances the dignity and self-worth of every person it serves.

This organization values integrity, compassion, and social justice, emphasizing continuous learning and teamwork among its employees. Sea Mar also operates as a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccination organization, reflecting its focus on safety and public health.

The current role is for a Housekeeper and Maintenance Worker in the Sea Mar Community Health Centers. This person plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and attractive condition of facilities, which is essential in supporting the organization’s quality healthcare environment. The position involves performing repetitive cleaning duties such as washing furnishings, floors, and equipment; disinfecting to prevent disease spread; emptying trash; and replenishing supplies. Additionally, the role includes outdoor yard maintenance, which involves mowing, trimming, removing debris, and snow clearing to ensure a safe and inviting exterior for clients and staff.

Further responsibilities include performing a variety of simple repairs and maintenance duties related to plastering, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work. The maintenance worker is also accountable for cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, ordering supplies, and adhering strictly to safety and health regulations within the building and outdoor settings.

Performance standards are well-defined, requiring daily and quarterly maintenance of flooring, carpets, lighting, fixtures, bathrooms, and biohazard waste disposal. Regular inspections of fire safety equipment, ventilation, heating, roofing, and general building upkeep are also key aspects of the role. In the outdoor facility maintenance domain, attention is given to landscaping, removal of hazardous items, roof inspection, snow and debris removal, and maintaining proper drainage.

Sea Mar offers this position as part of an hourly pay structure, with a wage rate of $20.76 per hour. This role requires physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to handle moderate noise and outdoor weather conditions.

Employees in this position benefit from the organization’s inclusive culture and comprehensive benefits package, designed to support full-time employees working 30 hours or more. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, long-term disability, employee assistance programs, paid time off starting at 24 days per year plus 10 paid holidays, 401(k) retirement options, and the opportunity to work in a culturally diverse and dynamic community health environment.

The housekeeping and maintenance worker at Sea Mar is critical to ensuring that the physical environment promotes a positive client and staff experience, aligning with the organization’s mission of providing respectful and high-quality health services.
