Kerry is a global leader in the food industry, dedicated to creating innovative and high-quality ingredients and solutions that enhance the taste and nutritional value of food products. With a strong commitment to sustainability, quality, and community involvement, Kerry operates various divisions worldwide focused on developing exemplary food ingredients and consumer foods. One of its key locations is in Evansville, Indiana, where the company's Coatings division manufactures a variety of breading, batter, and coating blends used by both Kerry brands and external customers. This facility reflects Kerry's dedication to delivering products that make food taste better while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

The Evansville facility is a vibrant manufacturing plant known for fostering a supportive and fun work environment. It is part of the Evansville Local Labor Union 561 and is situated at 1515 Park Street. Employees in this location take pride in being part of a close-knit team that values community engagement, teamwork, and producing consistent, high-quality results.

The Maintenance Technician role at Kerry's Evansville plant is an essential position within the plant operations team. This role requires a hands-on, skilled maintenance professional who will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment vital for the production of Kerry’s coatings blends. Working primarily on the first shift from Friday to Monday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential daily and weekend overtime, this position offers a competitive pay rate of $28.45 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in keeping the plant running smoothly by supporting shift maintenance operations and leading maintenance teams when necessary. Your expertise in mechanical repairs, electrical work, controls troubleshooting, and PLC programming will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal equipment performance. The role also involves fabricating, welding, and modifying equipment, highlighting the need for a versatile and skilled technician. You will be expected to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and food safety in all tasks performed, aligning with Kerry’s commitment to excellence.

This position offers opportunities for growth and leadership as you support and train other team members and step into leadership responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing, along with a two-year degree in Industrial Technology or Advanced Manufacturing. Strong problem-solving abilities, a logical and solutions-driven mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential qualities for success in this role.

Kerry values its employees and provides a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company matching, life and disability insurance, and more.
