Greystar is a leading, fully integrated global real estate platform known for its extensive expertise in property management, investment management, development, and construction services focused on institutional-quality rental housing. Founded in 1993 by Bob Faith and headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, Greystar has grown to manage and operate over $300 billion of real estate assets globally in more than 265 markets across North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. It proudly stands as the largest operator of apartments in the United States, managing over one million units and beds worldwide. With nearly $79 billion of assets under management, including significant development and regulatory assets, Greystar is committed to delivering world-class service and innovative solutions in the rental residential real estate industry. The company fosters a diverse and inclusive culture centered on genuine relationships and shared values, offering robust training and career development opportunities to its employees.

Prose Southcenter, a property managed by Greystar, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their high-performing team. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $23.00 to $27.00, complemented by housing discounts of up to 40% at Greystar communities, cell phone allowance, monthly bonus incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the physical condition of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s highest standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

The Maintenance Technician performs a critical function by completing technical and mechanical work, including routine maintenance, inspections, and responding promptly to resident service requests. Responsibilities include repairing appliances, maintaining exterior cleanliness, assisting with vendor management, and preparing apartments for new move-ins through a thorough "make-ready" process. This role requires familiarity with hand and power tools, basic mechanical repairs, painting, entry-level carpentry, plumbing, and appliance repair. Professionalism, effective communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite are essential qualities for success.

Working with Greystar means being part of a team that values collaboration, safety, and high standards. The company offers ongoing safety and risk management training, with expectations to comply with OSHA standards and participate in routine safety meetings. The role demands physical stamina to handle standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional travel to support other properties or attend training, is required.

Greystar prides itself on providing long-term career opportunities through continuous training and development. The company supports employees with a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, fertility benefit reimbursement, sabbaticals, employee assistance programs, and more. Housing discounts at Greystar-managed communities further enhance the compensation package for onsite team members.

Overall, this Maintenance Technician role represents an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a challenging and rewarding career within a global leader in real estate services. Greystar’s commitment to excellence, diversity, safety, and employee development offers a supportive environment where team members can thrive and grow professionally.
