Maintenance Technician, Part-time

The Barclay at Vero Beach, an Independent Living community under QSL Management, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults while working in a supportive and positive environment. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal of the community’s buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include following a strict preventative maintenance schedule established by the Director of Facility Management, ensuring that various mechanical and structural systems are in excellent working order. These include fire sprinkler systems, elevators, HVAC units, kitchen exhausts, and emergency backup generators.

The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for routine upkeep tasks such as paint touch-ups, groundskeeping, clearing pathways, and debris removal to ensure the community remains attractive to residents, their families, guests, and referral sources. Time management and task completion within designated time frames are essential qualities for this role. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will assist residents and their families with move-in and discharge processes, further supporting a welcoming and smooth community experience.
