Job Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment, and perform interior repairs and painting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills in English
- Must be able to work any assigned shift including weekends, respond to emergencies after hours, and provide an after-hours contact number
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Use own smartphone with updated software and password protection for job duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment, and perform interior repairs and painting preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Computer literacy
- Effective English communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and on-call
- Bonus qualifications include trade school certification, EPA Section 608 HVAC certification, and experience in property management, hospitality, or retail
Job Duties
- Promptly addressing resident service requests
- Performing hands-on maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and more
- Preparing market-ready apartments and maintaining community grounds
- Conducting regular community inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements
- Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate management
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure property standards
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests as assigned
