This opportunity is for a Maintenance Technician role at a temporary property location. After this assignment, Equity Residential will explore other potential positions within the organization that match the candidate's skills and interest. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of living in Equity Residential’s communities. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for promptly addressing resident service requests, performing a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks such as plumbing and electrical repairs, preparing apartments for new residents, and maintaining community grounds. Additionally, they will carry out preventative maintenance and conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.

Physical demands include various activities like standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and general manual labor to handle repairs and maintenance. The company requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prefers candidates with experience in plumbing, electrical work, appliance repairs, HVAC, and interior painting. A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation are also necessary if the job involves operating company vehicles.

In terms of compensation, the salary ranges from $23.37 to $28.56 per hour, with eligibility for overtime pay and performance incentives. Starting pay is determined based on relevant skills and experience. Bonus qualifications include trade school certification, EPA Section 608 HVAC certifications, and experience in residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail sectors.
