This opportunity is for a Maintenance Technician role at a temporary property location. After this assignment, Equity Residential will explore other potential positions within the organization that match the candidate's skills and interest. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of living in Equity Residential’s communities. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for promptly addressing resident service requests, performing a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks such as plumbing and electrical repairs, preparing apartments for new residents, and maintaining community grounds. Additionally, they will carry out preventative maintenance and conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.

Job Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment, and perform interior repairs and painting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills in English
- Must be able to work any assigned shift including weekends, respond to emergencies after hours, and provide an after-hours contact number
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Use own smartphone with updated software and password protection for job duties

Job Duties
- Promptly addressing resident service requests

- Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate management
