Job Requirements
- High school diploma/secondary education or equivalent
- associates degree certification from a technical school in mechanical, instrumentation or electro-mechanical trade or equivalent relevant industry experience
- 4-6 years experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment
- pharmaceutical/gmp experience preferred
- high level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plc-based systems
- basic understanding of integration of manufacturing equipment into scada, mes, sap
- thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving materials between 5-50 lbs
- proven interpersonal skills to work with various teams
- basic working knowledge of microsoft word and excel
- working knowledge of production automation systems such as wonderware, mes, and sap
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/secondary education or equivalent and/or associates degree certification from a technical school in mechanical, instrumentation or electro-mechanical trade or equivalent relevant industry experience
- 4-6 years experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment, pharmaceutical/gmp experience preferred
- high level knowledge of inter-relationship of mechanical, electrical, and plc-based systems
- basic understanding of integration of manufacturing equipment into scada, mes, sap
- thorough understanding of all manufacturing equipment
- high level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment used in manufacturing
- able to meet the physical demand of the position requires: continuous lifting, and/or moving from 5-25 lbs. weight material and frequent lifting or moving average (25-50 lbs.) weight material
- must have a proven ability to interact with other operators, management, and groups inside and outside of manufacturing
- candidates must have a basic working knowledge of microsoft word and excel
- a working knowledge of production automation systems (i.e. wonderware, mes, sap) is required
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks included but not limited to monitoring and adjustment of manufacturing equipment to improve production throughput, equipment efficiency, implementation of corrective action, calibration, spare parts management
- perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures
- perform data analysis for equipment like mean time between failures and pareto downtime from various equipment
- ability to train others in area of expertise
- perform the final checks and the double checks for manufacturing equipment as indicated in the preventative maintenance procedure and standard operating procedure
- perform a combination of manual tasks including but not limited to sorting, inspecting, assembling, and mechanical servicing
- support maintenance team in ensuring spare parts inventory is correct and compliant
- accurately complete paperwork and electronic transactions for all documentation requirements including but not limited to sap transaction, and paper and electronic logbooks
- assist with equipment installation, set-up and start-up
- perform and document equipment repairs as per standard operating procedure directives
- startup and shutdown equipment as per procedures to ensure proper operation
- follow environmental health and safety procedures during startup, shutdown, trouble shooting, and operation of equipment
- adjust equipment to optimize performance
- troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime
- order and receive material and perform the required identification and use (i.e., rfi system and basic sap)
- operate forklift, manual and motorized pallet jacks
- maintain proper inventory levels of clean tools including ancillary equipment, pallets and containers
- manage the removal of waste, collection of materials for recycle, and execute equipment cleaning and housekeeping operations in accordance to policies and procedures
