The open position at UniFirst is for a Maintenance Tech II, a critical role within the Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Tech II will be a dedicated Team Partner responsible for repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components. The role itself involves a wide range of responsibilities, from troubleshooting equipment problems using precision instruments to assisting with emergency and non-emergency repairs. Candidates will work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), follow technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer instructions, and conduct regular safety and maintenance checks. Additional duties include performing boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system tests, basic welding activities, and utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System to log and manage maintenance activities. The Maintenance Tech II position is pivotal in maintaining the operational reliability and safety of UniFirst’s industrial facilities and equipment.
