The role of Maintenance Technician at Invitation Homes is a vital one. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5+ years proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related experience
- OSHA 10 must be obtained if not already certified
- Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
- Ability to work regularly including some weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Must adhere to company safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5+ years’ experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related field
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with using mobile devices and apps
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Ability to work consistently including occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
- Physical ability to climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, pull, lift over 50 pounds, and operate standard maintenance equipment
Job Duties
- Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades
- Providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents
- Performing work respectfully in residents’ homes
- Completing regular proactive ProCare maintenance visits using designated mobile apps
- Educating residents on maintenance topics and functional systems of their homes
- Conducting general property condition assessments and reporting issues
- Performing maintenance and repairs in vacant properties during the turn process
- Properly using and caring for company tools, materials, and vehicles
- Reviewing next day’s appointments to prepare equipment and materials
- Adhering to safety guidelines
- Performing other duties as assigned
