The role of Maintenance Technician at Invitation Homes is a vital one. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing expert maintenance in a variety of single-family homes, addressing service requests across multiple trades to maintain safe, comfortable living environments for residents. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2-5+ years proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related experience
OSHA 10 must be obtained if not already certified
Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
Ability to work regularly including some weekends and holidays
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Must adhere to company safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2-5+ years’ experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related field
OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfort with using mobile devices and apps
Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems
Ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
Ability to work consistently including occasional weekends and holidays
Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
Physical ability to climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, pull, lift over 50 pounds, and operate standard maintenance equipment

Job Duties

Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades
Providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents
Performing work respectfully in residents’ homes
Completing regular proactive ProCare maintenance visits using designated mobile apps
Educating residents on maintenance topics and functional systems of their homes
Conducting general property condition assessments and reporting issues
Performing maintenance and repairs in vacant properties during the turn process
Properly using and caring for company tools, materials, and vehicles
Reviewing next day’s appointments to prepare equipment and materials
Adhering to safety guidelines
Performing other duties as assigned
