The role of Maintenance Tech II at Hilton Grand Vacations is essential in maintaining the high standards of guest satisfaction and property upkeep. This full-time position focuses on the maintenance of guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, ensuring that all properties are well-maintained, attractive, and fully operational. The Maintenance Tech II is expected to have a strong guest relations focus and be adept at problem resolution, as well as collaborate effectively with other staff and management to promote a seamless guest experience. The position requires proficiency in a variety of technical skills including drywall repair, painting, staining, stucco, texturing, popcorn and knockdown ceiling repairs, plumbing troubleshooting, air conditioning controls, and appliance repair. Additionally, the Maintenance Tech II will perform preventative maintenance tasks, record keeping, and equipment maintenance, all with attention to detail and safety.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in facilities maintenance
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to communicate well with guests in English
  • ability to follow basic written and verbal directions
  • physically able to climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40 feet
  • able to push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • grasp, stoop, reach overhead with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to communicate well with guests in English
  • minimum of 2 years experience in facilities maintenance
  • ability to follow basic written and verbal directions
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 3-5 years or more of related experience advantageous
  • current state driver’s license advantageous

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests for problem resolution
  • troubleshoot and repair basic appliances and air-conditioning controls
  • perform intermediate drywall, painting, staining, and wall vinyl repairs
  • troubleshoot plumbing fixtures including drain cleaning
  • change filters
  • maintain all guestroom and public space equipment
  • replace caulk, tile, grout
  • repair doors including locking mechanisms and hinges
  • inspect rooms for pest intrusion
  • inspect and replace cosmetic appliance components
  • replace light bulbs and ballasts
  • repair closet and drapery tracks
  • replace and stain furniture
  • repair knicks and gouges
  • replace remote control batteries
  • unclog toilets and sinks
  • touch-up paint
  • glue peeling wallpaper
  • execute planned scheduled preventative maintenance
  • replace faulty plumbing components
  • maintain accurate functioning of all equipment and tools
  • establish communication with engineering leadership
  • assist other maintenance staff on special projects
  • respond to guest requests to ensure satisfaction
  • keep detailed records in English for logs and inspection sheets
