As a Maintenance Technician II at Rock Peak on Sunset Apartments, you will hold a critical role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall visual appeal of the property, ensuring a comfortable living environment for residents. This position involves performing routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems, as well as preparing vacant units for new tenants according to a detailed Make Ready Checklist. Additionally, you will conduct regular inspections of buildings and common areas to uphold safety standards and timely address any issues.
The role also requires effective communication with vendors and contractors, along with reporting inventory needs and potential liability concerns. Compliance with Fairfield’s policies and safe work practices is imperative, and as a Maintenance Technician II, you will be a part of an emergency on-call rotation, responding promptly to urgent maintenance requests during off-hours to support residents' needs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance or related trade
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- General computer skills including operating a mobile device
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Duties
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist
- Maintain the exterior of the property and pool areas
- Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections of common area systems
- Communicate with vendors and contractors
- Report inventory needs and potential liabilities

- Respond to on-call emergencies and assist with resident notices
