Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in facility maintenance or preventative equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems including single and three phase AC and DC voltages
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing and lifting up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work night shifts and occasional weekends
- Willingness to comply with all safety and health guidelines
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to operate hand tools and testing instruments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of single and three phase electric, AC and DC high and low voltages
- One year experience in facility maintenance or preventative equipment maintenance
- Ability to learn various software programs associated with facility operations
- Strong technical, mechanical, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and management
- Capability to handle difficult situations professionally
Job Duties
- Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery within the facility as noted in manufacturer guidelines
- Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions
- Communicate equipment problems to operations staff as needed
- Diagnose problems and repair defective machines and equipment using manuals and schematics
- Set up and break down food processing equipment as required
- Perform building maintenance repairs and upkeep including plumbing and lighting
- Assist with material handling equipment maintenance, repairs and battery watering services
- Work night shifts and occasional weekends as scheduled
- Apply common sense to follow written and oral instructions
- Understand and comply with company safety and health goals
- Participate actively in the company’s safety program
- Demonstrate proper operation of equipment and tools ensuring safety and OSHA compliance
