Job Description
Aqua Aston Hospitality (AAH) is a prominent hospitality company dedicated to creating memorable vacation experiences for travelers from all around the world. Known for its supportive, friendly, and beautiful work environment, AAH operates numerous resorts and hotels that cater to a diverse clientele seeking exceptional service and comfort. As part of Marriott Vacations Worldwide, AAH prides itself on upholding high standards of guest satisfaction, employee growth, and community involvement, making it an employer of choice in the hospitality industry. The company fosters a culture where great benefits and opportunities for professional development lead to a life fulfilled for its employees.
The role of Maintenance First Class at Aqua Aston Hospitality is a critical position responsible for ensuring the physical integrity and operational quality of the resort properties. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $29.02 to $36.27, reflecting the value Aqua Aston places on skilled maintenance professionals. As a Maintenance First Class technician, you will be expected to independently complete work orders and perform assigned repairs that cover a wide range of building trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning, welding, masonry, and painting. Working effectively with minimal supervision, you will contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for both guests and staff.
Typical duties encompass the repair and minimal installation of materials like ceramic tile, vinyl, and carpet, along with troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, and gas systems. You will frequently work alongside other team members on special projects and general hotel-related functions, collaborating to address ongoing maintenance needs. A strong grasp of basic math skills is necessary to accurately measure, estimate materials, and calculate quantities required for projects. In addition, knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to comprehend chemical warning labels and equipment manuals ensure that all work complies with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Guest experience is a central focus of this role. Maintenance First Class professionals are expected to communicate effectively in English, demonstrating diplomacy and tact when dealing with guests, customers, and their colleagues, especially in stressful situations. The ability to prioritize multiple assignments and complete them in a timely manner is essential in maintaining smooth operations. Furthermore, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds from ground level is part of the physical demands of this role.
AAH is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment. Joining AAH as a Maintenance First Class technician means becoming part of a dedicated team that values expertise, reliability, and a customer-first attitude. The company provides its employees with benefits like competitive pay, medical, dental, and vision plans, 401K opportunities, travel discounts, credit union membership, tuition reimbursement, professional counseling, family support, and many avenues for growth and development. Working at AAH is more than a job; it is a chance to build a rewarding career in a dynamic, guest-focused hospitality environment where your skills make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
