Currently, The Martino Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join their team as a vital contributor to sustaining the Class-A appeal of their properties. This position is based in Denton, TX, with a typical work schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, along with a rotating on-call schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining property quality and providing outstanding customer service to tenants and owners. The Maintenance Technician I will perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, respond promptly to repair requests, and ensure that apartments are prepared meticulously for new residents.
This entry-level maintenance role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from basic property upkeep such as interior and exterior painting, replacing light bulbs, and checking emergency lighting, to more technical repairs involving plumbing, electrical, and appliance maintenance. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Job Requirements
- Satisfactory background check and drug screen
- Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance
- Truck or SUV vehicle
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Ability to deal well with people
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 80 pounds
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Reliable and respectful of others and their possessions
Job Qualifications
- General maintenance experience in a property management environment
- 2+ years of basic property/general facility maintenance experience
- Painting experience preferred
- EPA Universal certification preferred
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance
Job Duties
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to the property
- Interior and exterior painting
- Repairs such as sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, appliances
- Replace light bulbs and check emergency lighting
- Check and repair entry gates/doors as needed
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Complete all make-ready maintenance to The Martino Group standards
