This role serves as an integral part of the Hanover Hollywood team, positioned as the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technician. This dual role combines hands-on technical maintenance responsibilities with supervisory duties to support and ensure the property’s operations run smoothly. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is pivotal in upholding the quality and safety standards set by Hanover, performing timely and efficient maintenance in accordance with the company’s policies and state regulations. The individual in this role undertakes a variety of maintenance tasks that include preventative programs, responding to resident requests, and routine property inspections. They carry out critical repairs such as sheetrock patching, painting, appliance fixes, HVAC maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and pool equipment servicing. Furthermore, this position requires close collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor, assisting in overseeing daily operations and completing make-ready tasks to prepare units for new residents.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance or related field
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Must own a personal set of tools
- Knowledge of general maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, appliances, electrical, and pool equipment
- Ability to follow safety programs and policies
- Ability to respond to on-call duties promptly
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or supervisor
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and pool equipment repair
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks

Job Duties
- Follow all Hanover Maintenance and Quality Assurance standards for safety and cleanliness in routine property walks including but not limited to the tour route, trash/dumpster/compactor areas, pool and fountain areas, landscaping, sidewalks, driveways and parking areas, and building exterior and document any liabilities or issues in the property management software using inspections
- Routinely complete required logs using property management software inspections and complete required weekly and monthly reporting to ensure compliance and standards are met according to Quality Assurance policies
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the property operations including the completion of basic make readies and in-house duties on site as needed including but not limited to sheetrock repairs, patches, touch up and full paints in apartments and offices, building exteriors and fencing painting repairs, shampooing carpets and common areas, and other maintenance tasks as needed
- Complete service requests, make readies, and inspections in a timely manner
- Follow all safety programs implemented by Hanover and local/state policy
- Carry and answer all communications on Hanover-issued mobile device when on-call
- Perform any and all duties called upon by supervisors to ensure that property operates in an efficient and economic manner
- Take notice of and immediately report any liability problems or concerns on property
- Represent property and Hanover professionally through dress and behavior, respond to emails timely and professionally to ensure Making Life Easy™ for customers and team members
- Review and respond accordingly to any inquiries from the Global Service and Support Team to improve overall property operations
