This full-time maintenance technician role, based at the Kent, Washington facility, reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The position is critical to sustaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating on the 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM shift, this hourly role offers a competitive pay rate of $35.00 per hour, plus an additional $1.00 shift differential. The successful candidate will focus on performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair activities to minimize downtime and enhance operational performance.

The maintenance technician will be an integral part of a dynamic team, working closely alongside operations and engineering colleagues to identify equipment issues and implement effective solutions. The role demands a proactive approach to equipment care, ensuring that production machinery and facility infrastructure run smoothly and safely. Responsibilities include completing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and facilitating the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

The role also requires meticulous documentation and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards, including food safety requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and clean working environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting practices
  • Experience with preventative maintenance systems and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify root causes
  • Repair or replace defective equipment components to restore functionality
  • Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Partner with production teams to respond quickly to equipment issues
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and maintenance processes
