Job Description
Our company is a well-established food manufacturing facility dedicated to producing high-quality products while strictly adhering to food safety standards and OSHA regulations. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean working environment to ensure the utmost quality and safety in all of our production processes. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated not only through our rigorous quality control measures but also by our attention to maintenance and operational efficiency. We seek skilled professionals who are passionate about maintaining the integrity and functionality of our plant and equipment to join our dynamic team.
The Maintenance Mechanic role is a critical position within our operations team, responsible for supporting the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building upkeep. The individual in this role will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a diverse range of mechanical and electrical systems integral to the smooth functioning of our manufacturing plant. This includes mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as electrical components such as circuits, wiring, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives. Preventive maintenance is a key aspect to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
Beyond equipment maintenance, the Maintenance Mechanic will also address building and facility repairs, including air conditioning, lighting, and forklifts. The role requires the ability to fabricate replacement parts or equipment when necessary, ensuring that temporary repairs prevent long-term operational disruptions until permanent solutions can be implemented.
Technically proficient individuals with experience in electronically troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and 24 Volt control circuits will find this role rewarding. Additionally, adherence to food safety policies by promptly reporting any related concerns is an essential responsibility, ensuring compliance and reinforcing our quality standards. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, managing multiple tasks effectively and maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout their work.
This position offers an opportunity for growth within a reputable food manufacturing company with a commitment to employee development and workplace safety. Candidates who bring advanced skills in welding, computer literacy, and problem-solving will be highly valued. If you are looking to contribute to a dynamic operational team while advancing your maintenance career in a regulated, high-impact environment, this role offers the perfect opportunity.
